Cloning Digimon

Cloning Digimon.

Something worth knowing in DMO is the Digimon Clonation, or Cloning. To clone Digimon makes them get better stats in order to get stronger in battle.

In order to clone Digimon, you need to get items called DigiClones, which can be obtained by trading Digicores for them from NPC shops (Kamemon), bought from other players or as prizes from game Events or Quests.

There are 5 types of DigiClone, as well as 3 classes of DigiClone. DigiClones combine both a type and a class (ex.: Mega Reinforced DigiClone S).

The 5 types of DigiClone are as follows (from worst to best):
-DigiClone D.
-DigiClone C.
-DigiClone B.
-DigiClone A.
-DigiClone S.

The 3 classes of DigiClone that exist up to now are the following (from the most common to the most rare):
-Normal DigiClone (1st existing class).
-Reinforced DigiClone (Added since the current game Event).
-Mega Reinforced DigiClone (Added since the current game Event).

Currently, there's no other way to get Reinforced and Mega Reinforced DigiClone classes apart from buying them from other players or getting them as prizes from the current game Event, but they may be added for sale at NPC shops and Cash Shop eventually if a chance is given.

To clone our Digimon and use our DigiClones, we have to talk with Richard Sampson at Dats Center, then choose the Option "Go inside Dats Center". Once there, you'll see a window that shows both your current Digimon as well as 4 values that can be increased while cloning.

The stats that can be increased with cloning are the following:
-AT: Digimon's base attack power.
-CT: Digimon's critical hit rate.
-EV: Digimon's evading rate.
-BL: Digimon's blocking rate.

Each stat can be increased up to a maximum of 15 times since 2015's october Event, which changed the limit from 10 of 3 from 4 stats to 15 of all stats at once. onscreen

When you're cloning your Digimon, you'll have to register the DigiClone you want to use from your inventory, and then click on "Enchant" in order to clone your Digimon once. Lots of facedown cards will be shown onscreen, and you must choose one of them. If you chose the right one, a green card with the word "Success" on it will be flipped and your Digimon's stat will be increased. But if you chose the wrong one, a red "Fail" card will be flipped and you'll gain no increase to your Digimon's stat, even being possible to drop the stat a level down for each time you fail. Remember that the higher the stat's cloning level is, the more "Fail" card will be present when you try to clone it.

To avoid descreasing your Digimon's stats while failing to clone them, you have to use Backup Disks in order to avoid that penalty if you get to fail. Backup Disks can be obtained from Cash Shop (worth 19PSilk/Silk/Crown in packs of 10), players or from Monster Cards or MCs.

There are some limitations related to the use of DigiClones:
1-A price is required to be paid in order to use them, since 2015's october Event, no matter which type or class of DigiClone you're wishing to use. The price depends on the type and class of DigiClone, increasing as the DigiClone is of higher type or rarer class.
2-DigiClones can increase Digimon's stats up to a certain level. Once you reach that level, you'll have to use a higher type of DigiClone or it won't work.
3-The max level of clonation reachable for each stat is 15 since 2015's october Event, so each stat won't reach any further from there.

Here's a list that shows all DigiClone types and from which to which levels they can increase your Digimon's stats:
-DigiClone D increases stats from level 0 to level 3.
-DigiClone C increases stats from level 3 to level 6.
-DigiClone B increases stats from level 6 to level 9.
-DigiClone A increases stats from level 9 to level 12.
-DigiClone S increases stats from level 12 to level 15.

It's also worth remembering the difference between normal DigiClone and the 2 new classes of DigiClone, Reinforced and Mega Reinforced DigiClones.
-Regular DigiClone may fail and also increase a random amount of stats, but not always the max increase possible to each stat for each level.
-Reinforced DigiClone may fail, but if it succeeds to clone it will always increase the maximum amount of stats reachable for each level.
-Mega Reinforced DigiClone never fails and it also grants the maximum increase possible for stats at each level (this one is the best and rarest class of the 3).

A goal to achieve via Digimon cloning is to get what's called a "perfect cloned" Digimon. In order to get a perfect cloned Digimon, you must bring each of that Digimon's stats from level 0 up to level 15 increasing always the highest amount possible for each level. That will give you a Digimon with the best stat increase possible and thus the strongest clonable Digimon. The key to achieve this goal is to use only Reinforced or Mega Reinforced DigiClone classes each time you clone your Digimon. If you used regular DigiClones at least once you may have failed to get a perfect cloned Digimon.

If due to any reason you need to start cloning your Digimon over again from scratch, there's an item that will let you reset your Digimon's cloning levels back to 0, its called the Reset Capsule. The only ways to get Reset Capsules are buying them whether from the Cash Shop using PSilk/Silk/Crown (Reset Capsule A resets all stats back to 0 and costs 19PSilk/Silk/Crown each, and Reset Capsule resets only 1 stat back to 0 and costs 9PSilk/Silk/Crown each), or from other players in exchange for Teras. Remember your Digimon won't keep any stat increase if you use a Reset Capsule, so bear that in mind.

Once your Digimon is cloned, you'll notice two things: it will have higher stats, and it will also have a clone aura around it, that may change color and design according to the Digimon's clone levels (the higher the levels are, the better the aura will be). Even though the clone aura has just a visual effect, it's still nice to have it as it's free once you cloned your Digimon at least once.

This is all you need to know about Digimon cloning. I hope this post's information has been useful for you. See you soon. ;)
